525,600 minutes
Well, we've made it. Kai is now officially one whole year old. A quick check of his vitals has his weighing in at 25 pounds and standing around 30 inches tall. He currently has two full teeth, and four more have just broken the skin and are rapidly growing.
We have a small pool party planned for this Sunday at our house. We're expecting around 20 people, including a few babies and kids. Kai will probably receive a small mountain of gifts, too.
Kai's speech repetoire is growing. He mimicks what we say all the time now. I've had to start watching what I say around him. We can't even say the word "milk" near him, he definitely knows that one. And he definitely signs for milk and airplane now, although he does the airplane sign for anything that's up in the air, like a bird or a water fountain. But hey, it's progress.
It's hard to believe it's already been a year. I know it's cliche, but the time really has flown by. And yet I don't feel like I missed anything. Trying to stay present throughout this past year has been a challenge, but it's been very rewarding. Thank you all, dear readers, for keeping up with us throughout this year. Tell your friends about us, because there's a lot more to come.

I can't believe it's been a year!
Amazing how much can happen over that period of time...
Kai is 1, soon he'll be 2, and 3... 30... etc. Enjoy each fleeting moment!
Happy B-day to Kai!
