word up!

Today was the day. While Kai has been making sounds for quite some time now, we have been teaching him signs and spoken words for different objects. Today though, Kai spoke his first word!

He looked right up and said, “April Fool’s Day!”

Just kidding, of course, he hasn’t said anything in a spoken language that we understand, but truthfully he’s getting really close to crawling effectively. He can pull up into a standing position most of the time now, as well. It’s amazing. He may just walk before the crawls. Who knows?

Anyways, my birthday celebration was great. Good sushi, the Magic won, we drank our share of booze and the hotel was fabulous. And we spent surprisingly little. Let me just say that we have some really great friends, and we love them. Thank you all.
